Online Life Coaching

What is Life Coaching?
If you’re at a point of feeling stuck in life and feel like you need some help to get moving again, coaching could help you.
Coaching is a collaborative process between coach and client, where you’re given the space to explore whatever it is that is keeping you stuck. Transformative Coaching, which I’m trained in, goes beyond simple goal setting and is grounded in psychological theory to help bring about meaningful change. In practice, this means I will listen to how you talk about things – the narratives and imagery you use, the style of thinking you engage in, roles you inhibit, the systems you are part of etc. – to help you understand how they shape your experience of the world and look at where you can make changes so your life is more in line with what you want. If you have a tangible, practical goal that you’d like to pursue, in addition to the above, we can work together on the practical strategy to get there.
Why Life Coaching could work for you
As well as being collaborative, coaching is also often described as “client-led”. This means that the client (i.e. you) lead the direction of the session, with the coach helping you to unpick things and find answers, rather than telling you what to do (contrary to the popular image of a life coach, we don’t give life advice!).
How we will Work Together
In our first session, we'll define what you'd like to have achieved by the end of our coaching journey. You may have a really clear idea of what that is - on the other hand, you may just have a vague feeling, and we can use coaching to develop that into something more concrete.
At the start of each session, I'll ask you what topic you'd like to work on for that session and then we'll get stuck in. Towards the end of the session, we’ll define what strategies you want to try out or objectives you want to work towards in the time before our next session. Our in-session breakthroughs will be just the beginning – sustained change will come from the work you put in day-to-day.
Sessions are an hour long and take place roughly every 2 weeks. The spacing of sessions is designed to give you time to work on your objectives, while the total duration of the coaching course will help you implement sustainable change.
As calls are conducted by video call, I can work with clients anywhere in the world - so long as we can get our time zones to work!
