Sarah Walsh - ADHD Coach

Hi , I’m Sarah
I love helping others to find a way through their challenges so they can succeed, particularly those who may be a bit cynical about the world of life coaching and personal development!
You've probably seen a lot of Life Coaches on social media who profess to be able to help you achieve an amazing life but something about them doesn’t sit right with you. It might be the “Positive Vibes Only!” Instagram quotes with a seemingly perfect aesthetic, coupled with mantras like, "You're in control of your life - just believe and you'll achieve!", which somehow make you feel worse. Then there are the "guru" type coaches who charge their clients astronomical amounts to dole out dubious advice (sidenote – FYI giving out advice isn’t actually coaching at all), despite having no qualifications that make them any kind of authority.
My mission is to help people to access "woo" free psychologically grounded life coaching. This is largely due to my own experience of years of trying to address issues - both through self-help and working with others - without success. I didn’t know that what (or who) looks good and sells well may not be what is actually effective, or that the people marketing themselves as being able to help you don’t necessarily have the training or experience needed.
I decided to train as a coach after attending a chronic pain management course run by the NHS, which involved elements of coaching and psychological support. From this, I was able to do things I’d thought were no longer possible which gave me such a strong sense of reconnecting with myself that it made me want to use my psychological know-how to use to help others feel the same.
I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was an adult (after having the apparently not-very-unique experience of nearly crashing and burning at A-level and then again as an undergraduate) and then with Ehlers-Danlos Hypermobility Syndrome and POTS, both often coinciding with ADHD, a few years after that. It’s because of this that I mainly focus on ADHD coaching.
